Strategic planning determines where an organization is going over time, how it's going to get there and how it'll know if progress is being made and goals achieved. With this in mind, SMPS Long Island (Society for Marketing Professional Services) enlisted Knowing Point's support and committed to a multi- year partnership. Knowing Point will be working closely with the Board of Directors and other key members in Strategic Planning Sessions as well as ongoing consultative support.

SMPS LI's dedication to grow and thrive by partnering with Knowing Point attracted the attention of Ron Worth, CEO of SMPS National, and Tina Myers, Director of Membership & Chapter Development. On May 7, 2005, the two SMPS National leaders joined SMPS LI's Board of Directors in conducting its first Next Level Planning Intensive with Knowing Point's facilitation. The Intensive resulted in a new statement of vision, mission, 1 and 3 year goals, multiple strategies for accomplishing them, and a fired up leadership team!

Diana Soldano, President-Elect of SMPS Long Island, had this to say: "Our goal is to maintain the passion that has been poured into the foundation of this chapter.
